May 17th: Complete rough draft of your story. (formative)
May 20th and 21st: We will be in the writing lab so you can type your story.
May 22nd: Your completed wrap around cover is due. (formative)
May 24th: Completed book pages wtih pictures and complete sentences due. (2 formative)
May 28th: You will begin presenting your book to the class. (final exam grade)
**I will not take late work. This project is being done in class each day, so there is no excuse for not having it done on time. Work diligently, and turn your pieces of the project in on time. These are your final grades.

May 6 - May 10
Well, this is going to be a busy week for you guys.
Monday: We will finish Romeo & Juliet today, and begin watching the last 3 acts.
Tuesday: STAAR Testing until 1:30, lunch, then 1st and 3rd periods.
Wednesday: STAAR testing until 1:30, lunch, then 4th and 5th periods.
Thursday: STAAR testing until 1:30, lunch, then 6th and 7th periods.
Friday: Finish viewing Romeo & Juliet. Final exam for Romeo and Juliet will be Tuesday, May 14th.
**Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday you will be watching a segment of Romeo and Juliet. Each class will be at the same point except 2nd period; you guys will be a day behind since you
won't meet any of those three days.
Do well on your tests, and make sure to get lots of rest and a good breakfast each day before testing. Remember we have lunch an hour or two hours later depending on when you normally eat.
***Don't forget that if you need to take summer school, or you want to get ahead through summer school, that the information is on the school website, or there are fliers in my room and in the front office. Keep up on your grades, and know whether you will need to make up classes in summer school. Don't let it be a surprise if you fail and need to make up classes.
Have a great week.

April 29 - May 30
This week we continue with Romeo & Juliet. We will delve into Act III. Here is the layout for this week.
Monday: View Acts I & II. The version we are watching is the most accurate, but is a bit outdated, but it is very good. You will get a good sense of the craziness of these two teenagers.
Tuesday: Finish viewing Acts I & II. Depending on how much time is left we will take the quiz over the people. Page 807 in your book is where the information is located. Snap a picture of it Monday if you haven't already.
Wednesday - Friday: Begin reading Acts III - V. These Acts aren't near as long, so we may move quicker, but be sure to do the questions as we go.
Don't forget next week is STAAR testing, May 7-9. I will be giving the STAAR test to my homebound student, so may not be in class those three days.
No spelling test this week. I'm kind of done with spelling tests. :)
Let's have a great week.

April 15-19
I decided not to do spelling this week since we only have 3 more weeks of spelling, but we will pick it up next week. Here are the words again...
1. surgeon
2. surveillance
3. swelter
4. synthesis
5. tantalize
6. technician
7. technique
8. tedious
9. tenuous
10.tirade
Study these words and get a 100 on the pretest, then you won't have to take the final test!
This week we will be finishing up our career segment. Wednesday we will begin Romeo & Juliet. This will take us several weeks (normally about 5) to cover.
Don't forget: Friday we are going to the auditorium to watch the theater classes put on "The Most Dangerous Game" for us.
